How to choose a good MLM company?

It is very important to choose the right company because there is wise saying: “You can’t go very far riding a sick horse.”

There are good and bad MLM companies, what do we mean when we say bad MLM companies? MLM companies will not go far when they have poor management, poor range of products, poor compensation plan and poor support system.

You want to choose a good MLM company with great management, great range of products, great compensation plan and great support system that will ensure you enjoy lifetime residual income.

You want a management with many years of MLM experience and preferably with executives who were successful in the MLM business and are able to understand the soul, spirit and feelings of the MLM independent distributors who are looking for great management who will listen and respond positively to the market demands at the right time. Many managements are slow to respond to leaders’ feedback and by the time they take action, too much damages have been done and that will cause thousands of distributors to leave the company.

You want a great range of products and preferably products that are exclusive and patented which means customers can only buy these products from your company. Preferably you want products that are supported by scientific reports and recommended by scientists and doctors.

People have different needs and health conditions, so it is very important to have a great range of products that are targeted at different conditions. For example, you want health supplements where here are high demands such as health supplements for the heart, liver, kidney, colon, eyes, joints, bones, helps lower cholesterols, and improve skin conditions.

MLM companies that have great range of products will fare much better than those with a limited range of products or just one product because it is proven time and time again that people want variety and choices, they do not want to be limited to just one product. Skin care products is a billion-dollar industry and that is why most MLM companies have health supplements and skin care products.

MLM companies also sell other products and services but many people prefer products that are linked to the wellness revolution which will be a trillion-dollar industry by 2010 and is taking the world by storm because in USA alone, there are about 78 million baby boomers (people from age 44 to 65) and over 450 million baby boomers worldwide who want to look better, feel better and live better! They are concerned about their health and want to stay healthy and live longer.

What is a good MLM compensation plan? Almost every MLM company will tell you they have the best compensation plan so what makes a good MLM compensation plan?

There are many different types, stairstep breakaway, unilevel, binary, matrix and hybrid compensation plans. Every plan has their strengths and weaknesses but there are certain benchmarks to look for that ill make it a good plan. To be successful in MLM you must have a compensation plan that takes care of the beginners and part-timers, if not they will quit and look for a better company, the plan must make it easy for them to earn $300 to $1,000 or more a month because over 97% in the MLM industry will be satisfied to earn $300 to $1,000 or more a month which enables them to get their products for free and earn a bit of extra money.

This apply to beginners or those have MLM experience, if you find it difficult to understand the compensation plan, you shouldn’t be doing the business. You must have a simple and generous compensation plan that takes care of the beginners, part-timers and leaders. Many MLM companies have plans that take care of the leaders at the expense of the part-timers where leaders wave their $100,000 a month checks and the part-timers ask: “Where is my $1,000 check?” Do your due diligence, if you find that there are many members who put in the time and effort and are not making a decent part-time income of $1,000 or more a month, that is an indication of a poor compensation plan.

The next important factor is the culture and support system, you must have a simple and duplicatable system. MLM is all about teamwork and leaders must be seen working as a team in a unified system and not advocating their own systems which will confuse the new and old members.

Imagine a room with five leaders promoting five systems, each in their separate corners doing their own “secret” meetings. The synergy is not there and it is not duplicatable because this will encourage the downlines to create their own systems and when a meeting is called, the room is not packed because there is only one group. When you have all groups practicing one unified system, there is synergy and power and guests are impressed by a room that is full of excited people!
